Ajay Devgn’s wife Kajol, who has been part of the action-packed filmography, recently announced her upcoming film Maharagni. On May 29, 2024, the makers released the trailer of Maharagni. Kajol will be seen in a new avatar as the protagonist of a mass action movie. Starring alongside her will be Prabhu Deva, who will be making his comeback as an actor with Maharagni.
But that’s not all. The cast also includes Naseeruddin Shah, Jisshu Sengupta, Samyuktha Menon and Aditya Seal. Overall, the teaser trailer hints at a tense, gripping mass action film that fans are eagerly awaiting. The release date of Maharagni is yet to be announced. However, in other news, the first schedule of the film has been completed and there is a lot of buzz about its progress and upcoming release.
Director Charan Tej Uppalapati revealed his excitement about the project. In an exclusive interview with Variety, he said, “It has been an exhilarating journey bringing ‘Maharagni – Queen of Queens’ to life in front of the camera. As my Hindi debutant, collaborating with big name actors like Kajol, Prabhu Deva, Nasir Sir, Samyuktha Menon and Jisshu Sengupta has been a dream come true. Each and every character in the film has been given unique depth and I am eager for the audience to experience this thrilling cinematic journey.”
Producer Venkata Anish Drigil echoed this sentiment, adding, “The moment I came across this story I knew it had to be told. What better way to reach the masses than with a stellar cast like Kajol, Prabhudeva and Naseeruddin Shah? Working with director Charan Tej Uppalapathi has been a great experience. His vision truly brought this story to life.”
Kajol’s Mahragni is aiming for a pan-India release. To learn more, it will reportedly be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Overall, fans are excited to see Kajol and Prabhu Deva reunite in their next film.
