Recently, Akshay Kumar was spotted in the news for his upcoming film, Kel Kel Maine. He spoke about his diverse film choices, which have been the subject of controversy due to their successive commercial failures. Akshay has always been open to appearing in diverse films, especially those dealing with socially significant issues. He has acted in the following films: Toilet: Ex Prem Katha In light of the issue of open defecation, Padman, Raising awareness about menstrual products, menstrual hygiene issues, and real-life events Airlift, Mission Mangal and Mission Raniganj.
Akshay said that some of his friends in the industry have questioned his choice of films, but he said that he loved doing them and would continue to do them.
“It’s such a lovely, beautiful thing that I really want to do it. A lot of people in the industry, including friends and critics, ask me, ‘Why do you have to make a film about sanitary products and toilets?’ When I made a film about sex education, a lot of people were against it, saying, ‘It’s bad to talk about sex.’ But I love making such films, so if I have the opportunity, I’ll keep making them.”
Akshay Kumar said he received a message that felt like an obituary after successive failures at the box office.

He revealed that he has received condolence messages from industry insiders, journalists and others. However, the actor said that he will continue to act in films and has no plans to go anywhere.
