Cricket and Bollywood have always shared a close relationship. Both the actor and the cricketer lead glamorous lives and are often seen together in advertisements and promotional events. There are many cases of cricketers marrying actresses. For example, Virat Kohli married Anushka Sharma, Harbhajan Singh married Geeta Basra, Zaheer Khan married Sagarika Ghatge and the list goes on. These cricketer and celebrity couples are often seen sharing adorable pictures on social media. Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh and actress Hazel Keech are another such couple. They both got married in 2016 and things have been going well ever since. Let’s take a look at their love story today.
Hazel Keech is known for her role in the popular Hindi film The Bodyguard. The film starred Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. She played the role of Hazel, Karina’s friend. According to reports, Yuvraj met Hazel at a party hosted by her mutual friend. When Yuvraj saw Hazel Keech, it turned out that he was head over heels in love with her. At that time, Yuvraj was one of the most eligible bachelors in the country.
In an earlier interview, Hazel revealed that although Yuvraj was a celebrity, he was not interested in cricket at that time. Therefore, she did not know about his star quality. She added that because of that, she started paying less attention to him. She further added that she learned about Yuvraj’s popularity when he hit six consecutive sixes in the 2007 World Cup.
During an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Yuvraj revealed that Hazel Keech did not pay attention to him for three years. He continued to pursue her. After about three and a half years, she agreed to date him and the two began dating.
In 2015, Yuvi proposed to Hazel and the two announced their engagement on social media. Finally, in 2016, the two got married. Both of them are now parents of two beautiful children.
