Felino Doloso’s Trumpet Player Series: Finding Yourself in the Crowd

Filipino-Australian actor Felino Doloso has come up with a new project called “Trumpet Player Series” which will be released on YouTube in November 2023. This series depicts the tale of someone who stands at a crossroads in life and questions their career choices.

The story echoes the feeling of newness and loss, where nobody seems to know each other. It paints a vivid picture of a busy place where people are almost bumping into each other but they don’t notice anyone around. It is a place where everyone feels like a stranger.

This is not a major studio production, but an independent one, shot entirely in Sydney. Filming took over a year due to scheduling issues, COVID-19, and the availability of Felino Doloso and cinematographer Ferry Lie. Despite these challenges, the duo, driven by their passion, managed to complete the project.

The series is the result of Doloso and Lee’s desire to work together again. With their days busy with other jobs, they filmed “The Trumpeter Series” mostly in late afternoons, evenings and weekends. Doloso created the story, and lie brought it to life with his camera.

Felino Doloso stars in the title role, with talented young Filipino-Australian actresses Sophia and Aarien playing pivotal roles. Doloso was also the director of the series, which became an important project for him.
