Four new character posters Heramand introduced the show’s male cast, incl Fardin Khan, Shekhar Suman, Adhayan Suman and Taha Shah Badushsha. Check out the characters they play in the Hindi serial below.
Fardeen Khan returns to acting in Heramandhi opposite Shekhar and Adhyayan Suman
Taking to Instagram, Netflix India revealed who the four men would be playing. Fardeen Khan, who was last seen in a 2010 film Dulha Mil Gaya, this will be the role of a royal character, Wali Muhammad. The actor is making a grand comeback in the Hindi serial.
Netflix India wrote about Khan’s character: “Caught in a whirlwind of love and duty, Wali Muhammad tries to reconcile his heart’s desires with royal responsibilities. Fardeen Khan makes his spectacular return to the screen as Wali Muhammad!”
Zulfiqar is played by veteran actor Shekhar Suman. The character description of his role as Heramand says, “With his loyalty at the feet of Malikajaan, only one thing stands between Zulfikar and his burning ambition – Heramand.”
Shekhar’s son plays Zoravar. His character description reads: “Zoravar’s love for Lajo is a passionate embrace where passion shines – but when love calls, will he be able to answer?”
Finally, Taha Shah Badusha is another royal Tajdar. His description reads: “Torn between tradition and love, the son of a Nawab, Tajdar seeks fulfillment through liberation.”
About the web series Heeramandi
The women of Heermandi include Manisha Koirala as Mallikajaan, Sonakshi Sinha as Pharedan and Aditi Rao Hydari as Bibojaan. Richa Chadha plays Lajjo, Sanjeeda Shaikh is Waheeda and Sharmin Segal is Alamzeb, Mallikajaan’s younger daughter. Filmmaker Bhansali is co-directing the series with Mitakshara Kumar.
A period drama set in 1940s pre-independence India, it follows Mallikajaan and Faredan who want Heramand for themselves. Heramand: Diamond Market Follows their struggle for power and explores other stories of love and betrayal, waiting for the country’s freedom in the future.
