Netflix opens brick-and-mortar store where fans can enjoy merchandise, themed food, and live events

If binge-watching Netflix at home isn’t enough for you, you’ll soon be able to munch on merchandise, live experiences, and themed foods based on the streaming service’s most popular properties. Netflix opens new retail store called ‘Netflix House’ where fans can immerse themselves in the world of their favorite movies and TV shows including ‘Stranger Things,’ ‘The Squid Game,’ ‘Bridgerton,’ and more announced that it was a plan.

Bloomberg reported Thursday on the streaming giant’s retail business. The retail business grew out of the company’s pop-up shop experiments over the past few years. Josh Simon, Netflix’s vice president of consumer products, said Netflix House will allow fans to shop for clothing, eat food themed to the company’s entertainment franchises, and create obstacles straight out of Squid Games. He said they can participate in live experiences such as courses.

“We’ve seen how much our fans love to immerse themselves in the world of our movies and TV shows, and we’ve been thinking a lot about how to take it to the next level,” Simon told Bloomberg told.

Netflix plans to open the first two Netflix House stores in the U.S. in 2025 and then expand stores around the world. Each location features ticketed shows and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, from fast casual to fine dining, desserts, unscripted shows (like cooking shows) and spirits inspired by the popular series. It is included.

To give you an idea of the fan experiences offered by Netflix House, the company hosted “The Queen’s Ball: The Bridgerton Experience” in 10 cities across North America, from New York to Los Angeles to Montreal, where fans lived out their Bridgerton dreams for one night . They drank and danced to classic renditions of their favorite pop songs.

A pop-up restaurant called “Netflix Bites” also opened, offering fans food and drinks made by chefs from the platform’s cooking shows, as well as “Stranger Things”-branded frozen pizza and ice cream.

Details about Netflix House and store locations will be announced at a later date.
