Film city coming up near Jewar airport: Production companies, actors first in line to purchase tender documents | Delhi News

Actors and producers from India’s film industry, along with production companies, were among the first to purchase tender documents for the first phase of the upcoming film city near Jewar Airport on the outskirts of Greater Noida. Producer Boney Kapoor, actor Akshay Kumar, Golden Bird Entertainment, a Korean studio and a Dubai studio are among those who bought the document, people familiar with the matter said.

Officials said six bidders have so far been placed in response to the global e-tender issued by the Authority for Development of Film City on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis on September 29. reportedly purchased the bidding documents. Other prominent film production companies are expected to apply soon.

This is the third time that the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has floated tenders for the first phase of the project spread over an area of ​​230 acres.

Film City will come up in YEIDA Sector 21 near the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar. Phase 1 of the project will develop a total of 230 acres of land, including 75 acres (33%) of commercial areas and 155 acres (67%) of industrial areas.

According to the bidding documents, the bidder may be a single company, group or consortium. The developer’s estimated total project cost is estimated at around Rs 1,510 crore and the construction period is his three years.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 26, at which objections and suggestions by bidders will be discussed, and the last date for bid submission is November 30. Technical bidding will begin on December 5, 2023.

Yamuna Authority, on the other hand, will receive dividends based on the company’s annual turnover. Before making the bid, Yamuna city officials met with Hollywood film studios Fox and Universal to seek suggestions for developing the project.

The first global bid for a film city took place in November 2021. However, as there was no response from bidders, the authorities placed his second bid in October 2022. This deadline he extended until February 14, 2023, then February 28, 2023, then again until March 31, 2023, but no bids were received.
