Beyoncé releases new song to celebrate the release of Renaissance – The Hollywood Reporter
Beyoncé surprised her fans with a new song called “My House” to celebrate the release of her new musical Renaissance: A Beyoncé Film Friday.
It’s the first new music from the Grammy-winning singer since she dropped her album Renaissance last year. After the song was released, Apple Music wrote on its official Instagram: “A gift from the Queen on the opening weekend of the Renaissance movie. Listen now to @beyonce’s new song “MY HOUSE”.
Not only has it been a busy week for Beyoncé, including her film premieres in Los Angeles and London, but it’s been a busy and record-breaking year for the singer.
Earlier this year, at the Grammy Awards in February, Beyoncé set a new record as the artist with the most novelty awards ever. At the 2023 ceremony, she took home awards for Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song.
Then in May, she embarked on the Renaissance World Tour, which became her highest-grossing tour to date. The singer concluded the tour in October.
Now, the Beyoncé concert movie Renaissance It documents the singer’s journey on her biggest tour in support of her seventh studio album. The film features behind-the-scenes footage as well as her on-stage performances.
“In her most ecstatic moments, Renaissance It feels like a spiritual experience in itself.” Hollywood ReporterTV critic Angie Hahn wrote in her review of the film. “Through her album, her show, and now her documentary, she has created a gathering where her fans not only feel free, but are reborn in love.”
Renaissance: A Beyoncé Filmproduced by the singer’s Parkwood Entertainment, will hit theaters on Friday.
