The movie “Zelda” will be produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of “Super Mario,” and Avi Arad, a veteran producer of movies such as “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”
According to a post on Nintendo’s social media, the two have been working on a film adaptation of the Zelda series for years, but it will take some time.
The “Zelda” movie will be co-financed by Nintendo and Sony, which has also had success in adapting game series into films, and will be directed by Wes Ball, who has directed films such as the new “Planet of the Apes.”
