How to Watch The Beatles’ Short Documentary ‘Now and Then’ Online – The Hollywood Reporter

The Beatles are back with a “new” single and an accompanying documentary now streaming exclusively on Disney+.

Now and Then – The Beatles’ Last Song It tells the story of “Now and Then,” a surprise song by The Beatles released last week. Originally written by John Lennon as a solo track for himself, the song was never completed before his death and remained in limbo until Paul McCartney revived it last year with the help of artificial intelligence – and the help of his surviving band mates.

Now and Then – The Beatles’ Last Song reveals how the song was put together, with exclusive footage and commentary from McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Sean Ono Lennon and Peter Jackson, who directed the track’s music video.

The 12-minute documentary is written and directed by Oliver Murray, who also directed the 2022 film. My life is like a rolling stone And finally, the Disney+ special, Lang Lang plays Disney.

Per Disney+, “An eventful journey Now and later The film takes place over five decades,” adding in a description of the short, “John Lennon’s legendary feature-length demo was first worked on in February 1995 by Paul, George and Ringo as part of the Beatles Anthology The project however remained incomplete, partly due to the impossible technological challenges involved in working with the audio that John had recorded on tape in the 1970s.

But the song finally came to fruition in 2022, thanks to a software system Jackson developed to produce the documentary series. The Beatles: Back (Also streaming on Disney+). According to Disney, the technology was able to “separate” Lennon’s voice from the piano part, which then opened the way for the remaining members to add their voices and instruments to the mix. The “new” track marked the completion of the final recording the Beatles would make together.
