Why is 278 players getting all the hate?
During the Glass Bridge activity, the group cooperated to ensure that each participant had an equal opportunity to progress through the game. Together they worked out a plan of action: each player would step on only one tile at a time, then the player would choose a tile. When it came to player 301 (Trey), the third person in the glass bridge queue, he took his turn. Then, Marina, player 077, progressed but lost. Player 278 (number five) is now in the game. But now that Marina is gone, she won’t get over Trey.
Trey watched tolerantly as they exchanged glances, but Ashley didn’t budge. Trey jumped again and got lucky this time, but Ashley did nothing. Trey’s luck ran out and he lost for the third time. As a result, Ashley was forced to take the lead and make the next choice. Seeing that he was on the verge of elimination, he agreed to play with the team’s strategy. Apparently he would agree as long as it didn’t affect his standing in the competition.
The fans were angered by the selfish play of the 278th player
Many expressed their frustration with the 278th player by posting comments on social media. A user wrote: “I’ve never felt so annoyed playing Mai and Ashley Squid. No one else saw Ashley turn into a snake on that bridge and kill Trey…yet you all act like Mai was the villain??? “, others said “a betrayal that really hit home. I really appreciate Trey (player 301) being the bigger man when he just played nice and fair, he has such a wonderful spirit! “, watching squid game ep 8 (dice game) and Fucking 278 has the AUDACITY to say that 287 is not a team player. Has everyone else forgotten what he did to the 301?!??”
