Disney+ Hotstar sets new viewership record of 3.5 billion for India vs Pachi match, ET Telecom
According to Disney + Hotstar, the ICC Cricket World Cup match between India and Pakistan on Saturday set a new viewership record with the highest number of viewers reaching 3.5 billion.
The peak concurrent viewership (highest number of viewers during a live stream) for India vs. Pachi on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar reached nearly 3.5 billion.
This surpassed the peak concurrency of 3.2 billion during the IPL final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans earlier this year.
In the Asia Cup, the maximum concurrent viewership for the India vs. Pakistan match was 2.8 billion, while the maximum concurrent viewership for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final match between India and New Zealand was 2.53 billion.
Saturday’s match between India and Pakistan was also broadcast live on Star Sports Network by Disney Star, but the viewership figures were released just a week later by TV ratings measurement body Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC). Ru.
