‘The Prodigy’ restarts on Netflix with second season planned – TrekMovie.com

Producers and Mulgrew celebrate the news

Co-creators and showrunners Dan and Kevin Hageman and star Kate Mulgrew sent a message to fans through an official announcement.

Season 2 of ‘Final Mix’… Promises a return to rivalry between franchises

The 20-episode first season concluded on Paramount+ in December 2022. At the time, work on the 20-episode second season was already well underway, and the show was removed from Paramount+ in June. Paramount has announced that work will continue as it searches for a new home for the series. A teaser clip for Season 2 was released during the 1957 Mission Convention in August, revealing that it would feature the USS Voyager A and the Doctor’s return. In a recent interview with TrekMovie, co-executive producer Aaron Waltke admitted that the team needs to complete all 20 episodes of Season 2 by the end of this year or early next year. Originally, Paramount+ was scheduled to debut the first half of the season in the winter of 2023. Waltke recently gave an update on the season, teasing one of the episode’s plotlines, which will explore one of the series’ “most fascinating rivalries.”
