Celebrate spooky season with upcoming Netflix game titles
Winner of the CNET Editors’ Choice Award, Netflix is virtually synonymous with streaming TV shows and movies. In addition to being able to stream shows like Black Mirror and Stranger Things, your subscription will give you access to a library of mobile games that you can play on your iOS or Android device.
In October, Netflix Games is adding two spooky games to play just in time for Halloween. Both are expected to be added to Netflix’s game library later this month, but the exact dates are still unknown.
Here are the titles Netflix Games is adding in October.
Dead Cells: Netflix Edition
Dead Cells, the award-winning roguelike platformer, brings its action to Netflix. One might argue that this isn’t actually a horror or Halloween-themed game, but it does have “dead” in the title (and you’ll die…you’ll die a lot) ). In this game, your character must fight his way through creatures and dungeons to defeat the king. There is no need to worry even if your character dies. It’s all part of the experience. Death unlocks more power for your character and allows you to learn the correct patterns to defeat your enemies. There’s a reason this game’s tagline is “Kill, Die, Learn, Repeat.”
Slayaway Camp: Netflix and Kill
This Netflix game exclusive is a puzzle title in which you control a murderer named Skullface. Skullface is on the loose at summer camp, and like any good summer camp killer, he murders camp counselors in a myriad of ways, including crushing and decapitating them. It’s your job to slide Skull Face across the stage and eliminate the camp counselors with as few movements as possible.
