‘The Masked Singer’ Season 10, Episode 3 Recap: Diver’s Reveal
Spoiler Alert: Do not read on if you haven’t seen “The Masked Singer” season 10, episode 3, “NFL Night,” which aired on FOX on October 4th.
“Vanderpump Rules” villain Tom Sandoval has become perhaps the second most hated character in “The Masked Singer” history, revealed Wednesday night. (The first, of course, is Rudy Giuliani, the American traitor and despicable man who nearly destroyed “The Masked Singer” in season seven.) Sandoval is unmasked as a diver.
Ken Jeong faced Tom Sandoval for the second week in a row and had great success. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Sandoval, too. Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger both accompanied Pauly D. Kennedy.
Sandoval’s true identity was perhaps the biggest secret of “The Masked Singer” season 10, as fans of the show (and Sandoval anti-fans) quickly sniffed out his participation. (variety I wrote about it here before. )
Sandoval, who played the role of Diver, sang One Direction’s “I Ain’t Worried” for his performance. (As it turns out, he was supposed to be.) His clue package narration reads: “It was very rewarding to make my debut as a diver last week. I was so happy to receive all the love from the panelists and audience. As a child, I always wanted to be famous. I modeled, acted, and of course sang. I was always waiting to be famous. I never thought that everyone would hate me. But I’m here to show the world that I’m more than a mistake. I feel like just being here is already a healing experience. Sharing my talent, not my drama, was exactly what I needed. So tonight I’m going to keep my eye on the ball, because I’m not ready to take the mask off yet.”
Sandoval also appeared in another film, “Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test.” fox series. Clues that help viewers quickly figure out it’s the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star include a teaser video in which he said he was “pretty excited” to be on the show. It was. And Sandoval is no stranger to playing music through his cover band, Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras.
Tom Sandoval, who plays Diver, joins Anthony Anderson who plays Rubber Ducky, and one-time special guest Demi Lovato who plays Anonymous as season 10’s unmasked celebrities.
“The Masked Singer” features a new format this season, with three groups followed by a battle royale semifinal episode. This season also includes the return of a wild card contestant, introducing one wild card of his in each group, and the battle royale semi-final episode sees the return of “Ding Dong Keep It On Bell”, with the judges You can save one contestant. Featuring a total of 16 famous singers, Season 10 will include the donut, anteater, hawk, hibiscus, diver, gazelle, royal hen, life-sized s’mores and more. New costumes will appear. ” Also, to celebrate the show’s 10th edition, celebrities who have not previously revealed their true identities since the show began will also return. According to the show, the season 10 contestants “boast a total of 40 medals, 33 Grammy nominations, seven Hall of Fame awards, three lifetime achievement awards, and more than 50 tattoos.”
The season’s theme episode includes a tribute to Elton John. “Trolls Night” in conjunction with the November release of DreamWorks Animation’s “Trolls Band Together.” “Harry Potter Nights” airs during the week of Halloween. “NFL Night”; “One-Hit Wonder”. “Disco”; “Nights of the 2000s”. “I want to do something”; and “Soundtrack of My Life”. Season 10 returns host Nick Cannon and features panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, and Robin Thicke.
