Vaughn said he had a hard time believing the critical reception, and even went to theaters to see the film again. And I thought: Maybe I’ve lost the plot now. “It bothered me,” he said. “I’m confused about it, because you can’t ignore it. It wasn’t like (just) some bad reviews.

However, the director leaves the situation in the past. “It is what it is,” he said. “You learn from these things.”

Additionally, one never knows how situations might change. “We do a pretty good job of live streaming,” Vaughn said. “People love it. Nothing would make me happier than making another one. I get text messages saying, ‘Wow, those reviews were so harsh!'” whenever we can get people to watch Argyle, the greater the chance of another one working.
