Queen of Tears, Wonderful World Steady With Hottest Drama Ratings of the Week | web series

Romantic comedy series starring Kim So Hyun and Kim Ji Won, Queen of Tears, and MBC’s Wonderful World, led by Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo, maintained their dominant positions as the week’s top dramas.

According to Good Data Corporation’s weekly list of TV dramas that excite viewers, tvN’s Queen of Tears maintained the top spot for the fourth week in a row. On the other hand, Wonderful World enjoyed the second rank after the buzz of the tvN series.

These rankings are determined based on weekly data gathered from online threads, social media, articles, videos and blog posts. They have both recent releases and upcoming titles.

The roaring success of the Queen of Tears

Premiering on March 9, 2024, the Jang Young Woo and Kim Hye Won directorial not only topped the list of highest-grossing drama releases, but its cast also reigned supreme on the list of respective curious cast members.

The names of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, who play the titular romantic couple Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In, shone at the top of the list, ranking 1 and 2 respectively. Their co-stars, Park Sung Hoon and Lee Mi Suk, enjoyed their spots in the top 10 as they finished fourth and eighth.

In addition, Son Joong Ki of Vincenzo fame, who recently appeared in the series in a memorable cameo role, also proudly took his place at number nine on this list.

Wonderful World’s reigning success

Cha Eun Woo fell behind Soo Hyun and Ji Won to come in third as one of the top 10 actors who generated the most buzz this week. Her MBC Drama co-star Kim Nam Joo came in fifth place, while the drama itself beat out some tough competition to come in second as the most popular series this week.

Other dramas that made the top 10 list were The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection, Wedding Impossible, Beauty and Mr Romantic, Nothing Uncovered, Third Marriage, Lovely Runner, Hide and Su Ji and U Ri.

tvN’s Wedding Impossible ended its 12-episode run on April 2, 2024. Its leading stars, John Jong Seo and Moon Sang Min, ranked sixth and seventh in the acting rankings.

Another tvN title, Lovely Runner, is an upcoming series starring the lovely actors Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon. Based on a web novel, it is scheduled to premiere on April 8 at 8:50 PM KST.
