Eklavya Sood talks about sharing the screen with Jennifer Vinge in the web series Raisinghani vs Raisinghani!
Mumbai: Eklavya Sood, who is a part of the web series Raisinghani vs Raisinghani, stars alongside actress Jennifer Winget. The actor says that he was initially excited and a little nervous to share the screen with her. However, his nonchalant attitude broke the ice between the two.
“The dynamic between the cast is brilliant, to be honest. Before filming the show, I was a little nervous about playing a character opposite Jennifer Winget. I have watched him since childhood and always admired him as an actor. Obviously, I felt nervous when I had to shoot my first scene with him. I didn’t know how to address her – should I call her Anushka (her character’s name), Jennifer or Ma’am? I finally got confused ma’am. He immediately said, “Call me Jennifer, don’t call me ma’am!” And that’s how our ice was broken and all these worries subsided. It’s been smooth sailing since then,” he says.
The actor adds that he has a great bond with other cast members like actor Karan Wah, Reem Shaikh. “To be honest, I share a different relationship with all three of them. Remy is now a very good friend. We swim a lot, we get cold a lot. He and I spend a lot of time together on screen and that has continued off screen as well. Although me and Karan Wah, we have our own history and connection. Karan is a fun person on the sets. You will always have fun with him. There is never a dull moment. I love his energy and his honest humor. He and I bonded over our shared history and ancestry. Our mothers are Kashmiris and he promised me that when his mother visits, he is going to cook Rohan Joshi for me. I am going to stick to his words,” he says with humor.
Ask him who he thinks is the most social of the three and he says, “The social queen would be Reem Sheikh. Of course, there is no doubt about it, and the social king would be Karan. The other day, Jennifer, Karan, and Reem were all sitting together talking about how poor Jennifer and I are on Instagram. How lazy we are to click photos, edit frames, think of captions and finally post. It’s a different talent altogether and both Karan and Remi are brilliant at it. But then again, Remy comes to Jennifer’s rescue and offers to help her edit some clips. Even I wanted to jump on this Instagram training wagon and now Reem has promised to let me in on her trade secrets and make me want to click more photos and up my Instagram game. Hopefully I’ll come out with flying colors.”
