How do you feel now that Crushed Season 4 is over? Where would you like your hero to go next?
I have a mixed bag of emotions, from grateful to emotional. Four years of this show really holds a special place in my heart. I would love to see it [my character] Aadhya Mathur continues to be the loving and strong minded girl that she is. He’s matured as a character over the seasons, it would be nice to see his maturity chart high.
also, [I] He would love to see how Sam [Rudhraksh Jaiswal] And Aadhya’s story would unfold as the final season ended with a sweet beginning of their relationship which could be beautifully portrayed further on.
What are the similarities and differences between you and your character?
My character has a relatability factor that not only me but everyone can relate to, especially in their teenage phase, so I can certainly say that I have had similar experiences with the confusion, misery and conflicts that Adhya Mathur went through. The difference would be that I am a person who reads novels, not poetry.
What was it like working with the cast of Crushed? What experience will you take away?
From the beginning, this whole unit is “home” for me. So I never felt like just working. It was amazing to be co-stars with all of them and it was a joy to work with them.
The series depicts the various pressure points that students, both personally and educationally, go through during their school years. What advice would you give to younger fans watching the show who might be dealing with similar issues?
Whatever life throws at you, take your step. Remember bad phases will pass. Don’t get distracted from your goals. Make sure you have fun, make smart decisions, and work hard too.
At the moment, I am in negotiations on several projects. But I can reveal only after everything is solidified. I also have some short films coming up soon.
