During a promotional event for Season 10 of Celebrity Cricket League, Sohail Khan revealed that he is planning to return to Bollywood with Sher Khan and the film is scheduled to release in 2025.
Explaining why he had to put the film on the back burner, Sohail told News18, “I had to put the film on the backburner. Every time I finished writing the screenplay for Sher Khan, I was watching another Marvel movie, which made me feel behind the times in terms of what I had written and what I wanted the action to be. I knew that by the time this movie came out, it would look outdated. ”
Sohail also seems to have deciphered the formula behind the success of superhero movies in Hollywood and how fantasy action-adventures resonate with audiences and deliver phenomenal box office returns. “The fear of thinking about making something that would be released in three years’ time was something I had to suppress. I realized that I had to think about the future and not the present. That’s exactly where it came from. “Score Marvel movies and DC movies,” he said.
Sohail continued: “They pre-empt what is going to happen. Our behavior is more human, so moving to technology-based behavior gives us leeway. While the world continues to move forward, we I’m thinking about the times.”
Sohail also reportedly revealed that there are plans to revive the long-pending romantic comedy My Punjabi Nikah starring Aayush Sharma.
Speaking about his absence from films for the past few years, Sohail said, “I have been away from films for the past few years. He wasn’t very happy with the work he was getting as an actor. He had a story to tell, so he went out to cast the right technicians and actors. ”
The Tubelight actor was willing to wait to get things right instead of falling into mediocrity. “I thought deeply about something, and I wanted the most qualified people to come together. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out. But fortunately, God was kind to me financially. So there was no desperation to do any work. I just waited for it,” he added.
