How ‘Railway Men’ Web Series Impacted Globally – Yes Punjab

Home-grown at Yash Raj Films and mentored by Aditya Chopra, debutant director Shiv Rawail produced the global hit series, The Railway Men, for YRF.
Netflix & YRF Entertainment’s marquee series, The Railway Men, a thrilling tale of heroism, hope and humanity, is a huge hit nationally and internationally.
The 4-part mini-series, which premiered on November 18th, is a success story based on unanimous positive reviews from media and audiences around the world! The Railway Men have topped the global charts for three months now!
Director Shiv Rawail, who started YRF with the series, says the archival footage and images used in the show have deeply affected people across the world.
He says, “The opening of the first episode is this voiceover by Jagmohan Kumawati (reporter) and depicts the recreation of the actual event of Warren Anderson leaving India. What’s interesting from a creative standpoint is that it has a very different style from the rest of the show. “
Shiv adds, “It’s very honestly done from a very vantage point to feel like the paparazzi are recording someone’s movements, and it’s also interesting to shoot with archival footage.
Archival footage and images used throughout the show shaped how The Railway Men affected people globally. We also shot at the Bhopal airport where the incident took place.
