mumbai: After a hiatus due to childbirth and the pandemic, British actress Amy Jackson makes a grand return to Bollywood with the action thriller ‘Crack’ alongside Vidyut Jamwal, Arjun Rampal and Nora Fatehi.

In ‘Crakk’, Amy plays a Polish Europol agent and shows off her action chops alongside Vidyut Jamwal. Despite her role as a supporting character, Amy’s character is far from a damsel in distress. Inspired by Vidyut’s ‘Commando’ movie, she has been training intensively since 2019, incorporating boxing and Muay Thai into her fitness routine. Due to her background in martial arts, she was able to perform all the stunts in the film without a stunt double, and she takes great pride in this feat.

Amy, who is returning to Hindi films after almost eight years, chose Crakk and the recently released Tamil film Mission for her comeback films because of the strong female roles she was offered. Although these films were not female-centered, they featured characters that defied traditional stereotypes, which appealed to Amy.

What makes Crakk even more special for Amy is that it marks her entry into Bollywood action, a genre that her four-year-old son Andreas loves. Andreas, who accompanied him on the set of The Mission, is impressed by his mother’s work, and Amy is excited to see his mother’s reaction to Crack. She fondly remembers how much fun Andreas had on set and looks forward to earning even more brownie points from him.

Aditya Dutt’s ‘Crack’ is said to be an extreme sports film and is scheduled to hit theaters on February 23rd. Amy’s comeback to Bollywood promises to be an action-packed affair and her fans are eagerly waiting to see her back on screen, kicking her butt and taking her name.
