Nawazuddin Siddiqui said he liked Oppenheimer’s dialogue.Highlights His Bollywood filmmakers are putting too much emphasis on dialogue delivery | Bollywood News
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently explained in an interview why he said he will no longer do bit roles and only do lead roles. To quote the example of Oppenheimer, an Oscar-nominated film directed by Christopher NolanDirector Siddiqui said that although the film had such big-name actors playing bit roles, they shone in their roles as they had a chance to showcase their skills. But in Bollywood, Nawaz says, that only happens in art films.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Nawazuddin said, “Bollywood has big roles and small roles, but the quota for small roles is over.” Why shouldn’t he take on a bigger role now? Every actor wants to play big roles, but small roles are just the beginning. That’s fine at first, but every actor wants to play a big role. If I asked a star to play a bit role in my movie, would he do it? Or, like Oppenheimer, small characters should be played by big actors. It’s a different kind of movie. ”
Oppenheimer was released last year alongside Barbie and ended up being the third biggest hit of director Christopher Nolan’s career. Led by Cillian Murphy, the film is supported by a strong supporting cast including Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Rami Malek and Florence Pugh.

Christopher Nolan said, “Even in these small roles, you can see the skill and craft of an actor. When you look at Rami Malek, even in a small role, you can see his approach and how intelligent an actor is.” Here, such things only happen in artistic films.”
More praise for Nolan’s films, wasseypur gang The actor highlighted that Hindi films place too much emphasis on the delivery of dialogues and the punch of dialogues, leaving behind the delivery of dialogues.
“I liked the conversations that happened at Oppenheimer because we have a dialogue-centered approach here. There are some good things that come from traditional forms, like songs. We are too focused on the punch of dialogue. We lack dialogue and that is the hardest thing to do in front of the camera,” Nawazuddin said.

When pointed out that perhaps the filmmakers here are targeting an audience and therefore don’t indulge in dialogue, Nawazuddin was quick to say: “You can’t make everything to suit the audience’s tastes. This is the age of Instagram, and if you want to follow the likes of the audience, you have to lower your IQ for movies. ”
