Shahid Kapoor defends long title of Teri Burton Mein Aisa Urja Jiya, says people have doubts about DDLJ and Jab We Met too Bollywood News
Director Shahid Kapoor said the team was prepared for some skepticism regarding the title ‘Teri Barton Mein Aisa Urja Jiya’.

Shahid agreed, saying, “Anything substandard feels a bit strange,” and brought up the title of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which had been questioned in the early 1990s.
“I remember when DDLJ, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge came out. All the titles were like Ghatak, Ghayal, Jeet and that was the vibe. And then this long title came out I remember before the movie came out, everyone was saying, “It’s so long, I don’t know what it’s saying.” But when you want to make a love story, I think it’s okay if the title is a little longer,” he told his Film Companion. Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol’s film is still considered one of his most popular films in Hindi cinema.

Shahid Kapoor later discussed the title of his film ‘Jab We Met’ with Imtiaz Ali and said that even the film’s title was met with skepticism. “I remember when we did ‘Jab We Met,’ people were like, ‘What’s this title?'” “There was nothing that combined the word and English,” he said, adding that the title is now considered a “classic.”
