Bollywood is taking Hanuman’s success for granted!
Director Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project, a modern retelling of Ramayan, has been creating quite a buzz even before its official announcement.
In this Ramayan, Ranbir Kapoor will play the iconic role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita and the fearsome demon king Ravana will be played by KGF star Yash. Adding to the excitement, reports are doing the rounds that Sunny Deol might take on the role of Lord Hanuman riding on the success of Gadar 2.
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is expected to begin shooting around March or April this year. Workshops for this project have already begun.
With the recent success of director Prasanth Varma’s ‘Hanu Man’ garnering positive response from northern audiences, the Hindi film industry is excited about the potential success of ‘Ramayan’.
But that’s easier said than done. What director Prashanth Varma has achieved with ‘Hanu Man’ is no small feat. He deftly blended superhero origin stories with Indian mythology and cleverly utilized VFX to create an immersive experience for the audience.
However, Nitesh Tiwari faces the difficult task of providing an authentic interpretation of this epic while catering to the tastes of today’s audience. Nitesh Tiwari has to tread carefully on a thin rope, ensuring that the film remains true to Hindu mythology while presenting a fresh and engaging story.
Achieving this delicate balance while maintaining high technical standards within an estimated budget of approximately 500 million is not as easy as it seems.
