Since its theatrical release on March 8, 2024, ‘Shaitan’ has been making waves for its creepy story and amazing performances. The film started its box office journey with a bang, grossing an impressive $1.7 million on its first day. The momentum continued unabated, with revenue soaring to $2.2 million on the second day. Additionally, it grossed a whopping $2.4 million on its third day, making it a triumphant opening weekend.

However, as the days passed, Shaitan’s revenue decreased slightly. The recent box office hit reached $692,000 in its seventh day. Despite this drop, the film’s domestic gross was a solid $9.6 million, justifying its enduring appeal among audiences.

Additionally, the film was able to maintain a respectable overall occupancy of 12.68 percent. In major metropolitan areas such as Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, the occupancy was almost the same at 14% for him, highlighting the consistent level of viewer interest.

Chennai had a slightly higher occupancy rate of 18.25% despite having relatively fewer shows. Overall, this shows a strong regional fascination with the horror genre.
