Venkat Prabhu reacts to a tweet in which he described GOAT as a Hollywood remake

Director Venkat Prabhu has nothing but good wishes for those criticizing her upcoming film with Vijay, the greatest of all time. On Sunday, a tweet surfaced on social media, offering a scathing review of Vijay’s recent career decisions and even hinting that GOAT might be a remake of Will Smith’s Gemini Man. What was the tweet?

The tweet was directed directly to Venkat Prabhu by Sathyan Ramasamy. He wrote: “Dear @vp_offl brother, @actorvijay sir, after his pathetic debut in 2023 with 2 back drops, he is expecting at least a good comeback in 2024. So if you are really planning any remakes then I assume he is not suitable for Hollywood. The film is being remade, because neither #AjithKumar nor @urstrulyMahesh will make it.Sathyan often posts critical tweets against Vijay.

“But then when you see his filmography, he has continued in this field only with some good Telugu remakes. So a fraternal suggestion is to buy a good Telugu film and remake it. If you are still sure about a Hollywood remake, at least please refrain from including Desperate #ThalapathyVijay elements (fake groan gestures, unnatural father/sister feelings, strong romances and kisses) in your film. Prashanth, Prabhudeva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir and Yogi Babu are also among the cast of the much-awaited film.
