Glen Powell comments on THR’s confusion between him and Justin Hartley – The Hollywood Reporter

When Powell visited THRStudio next to it Assassin Co-writer and director Richard Linklater was asked during the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday if he had already brainstormed ideas for a body-swapping film.

“Rick, do you want to direct a Glen Powell and Justin Hartley body swap movie?” the actor asked Linklater. The manager replied: Yes, certainly. Include me.” Powell then noted that he and Linklater were “talking about getting into the trenches” to make another film together. THR Linklater suggested the body-swap film would be next, “I think it’s clear that this is going to be this generation’s body-swap film.”

The idea for the film remained in the minds of Powell and Linklater. When asked about their goals for the year, Powell stated that he and Linklater will make plans for their next project once the director wraps his latest film in Paris. “(We’ll) swap bodies with Justin Hartley’s film,” Powell said. “I want to be in development and in production in the fall, (with) a body swap movie with Justin Hartley — if we can get it together,” Linklater added. “Yes, if we can do it,” the actor echoed.
