Despite facing stiff competition from Rajkumar Hirani-directed SRK films DankiSalar has already crossed the Rs 400-crore mark globally and is gearing up to cross the Rs 500-crore milestone in the coming days.

As of 6 pm on December 25, the film’s net collection in the domestic market stood at Rs 31.84 billion, while its total collection in India stood at Rs 240.94 billion, according to industry tracker Saknilk. He had a total Telugu market share of 59.16 per cent on that day, recording 46.34 per cent in the morning show and rising to 71.97 per cent in the afternoon show. Salar appears to have benefited from the Christmas break, contributing to Monday’s strong performance.

Recall that Jawan’s first domestic net profit on Monday was Rs 32.92 billion. SRK films also saw a consistent decline in the daily box office collection throughout the second week, but regained momentum over the weekend. It remains to be seen whether Salar can maintain his performance against the Jawans in the remaining week.

On its first day of release, Salar grossed 93.45 billion rupees at the domestic box office and 178.7 million rupees at the global box office, according to filmmaker Hombare Films. Meanwhile, the film has also seen good pre-bookings on Tuesday and has already earned Rs 2.97 crore with over 160,000 tickets sold across the country.

In his review of the film, Shubhra Gupta of the Indian Express wrote, “Until the violence in Prabhas Prithviraj’s films is stylized in the style of cartoons and Game of Thrones, there is no way to justify it.” “I can’t find it.
