54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Opening Ceremony Live Updates: 54th Indian International Film Festival (IFFI) will kick off today in Goa. The opening ceremony will be held at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Panaji. The event promises to be a star-studded affair with performances from Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Shriya Saran, Nushrat Bharcha and others. Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi and Vijay Sethupathi will also release the first look of their upcoming films ‘E Watan Mere Watan’, Kadak Singh and ‘Gandhi Speaks’ respectively. Sunny Deol, Karan Johar, Shantanu Moitra, Shreya Ghoshal and Sukhwinder Singh will also be present at the ceremony.
“IFFI has grown every year thanks to the passion of filmmakers across the country and the collaboration we have been able to forge with directors and producers from around the world,” Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said in a statement.

Commenting on her performance at the opening ceremony, Madhuri Dixit said, “Cinema has given me so much and it’s time to give back. What better way to do that than through song and dance.”
Shahid Kapoor said, “If you are passionate about what you do, great work comes naturally. It’s something I absolutely love…thanks to IFFI, I’ll be able to do it again in Goa on November 20th.”
The following will also be participating in the 54 Hours IFFI: michael douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Salman Khan, Vidya Balan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Anupam Kher, Vicky Kaushal, Siddharth Malhotra, AR Rahman and more. Douglas received the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award this year.
