Gumraah, which is a remake of the popular 2019 Tamil film Thadam, failed to impress the audience and received mediocre reviews from critics. The crime-thriller is directed by Vardhan Ketka and stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Mrunal Thakur and Ronit Roy. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 1.10 crore on its opening day, with an additional Rs 1.25 crore on Saturday. With this, the total income of the film reaches 2.35 million GEL.
The war within
This year, Aditya impressed the audience with his never-seen-before masculine avatar in the Kapil Verma directorial. Before the film bombed at the box office, Aditya was praised for his physique. Sandeep Modi’s The Night Manager is the official Indian remake of the hit British series of the same name. The series is a spy thriller in which Kapoor plays the night manager of a five-star hotel who is tasked by Indian intelligence to take down the world’s most feared arms dealer, played by Anil Kapoor. It starred Aditya Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Anil Kapoor and Thilothama Shomey and was released on Disney+Hotstar on 17th February.

Aditya played the character of a mime artist in Anurag Basu’s colorful film, which is among the actor’s most memorable performances till date. Metro In Dino, the movie seems to be inspired from the famous song In Dino from Life in a Metro. It promises to present a poignant tale of human relationships developed in modern times, offering a mixture of sweetness and sorrow. Directed by Anurag Basu, the anthology film featured a stellar cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles.
This collaboration marks Aditya Roy Kapur and Anurag Basu’s second venture, the first being the critically acclaimed film Ludo. Scheduled to release on March 29, 2024, the film is expected to enthrall audiences with its exploration of the complexities of modern relationships.
