The final trailer for Wonders It sees a group of heroes uniting for a “final battle.”
Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel joins Kamala Caan/Iman Villani. Marvel’s Captain Monica Rambeau’s Teyonah Parris, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and perhaps more Marvel characters to take on Zawe Ashton’s Dar Ben in the upcoming superhero movie.
The two-minute look at the sequel first appeared on Monday Night Football It begins with a look at the Avengers’ war against Thanos, which established the stakes Wonders The team is preparing to face a powerful enemy.
“This is just the beginning,” Ashton’s villain says early in the trailer, as she opens a hole in space, leading to a different reality that leads to Earth. “It can’t be matched. It can’t be controlled,” Jackson Fury tells Carole, before adding: “I demand one last battle.”
The film follows Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, who regained her Kree identity and took revenge on the Supreme Intelligence, according to her description. When unintended consequences destabilize the universe, she is sent into a wormhole linked to the Kree revolution, causing her powers to become entangled with those of Kamala and Monica.
Director Nia DaCosta admits that her Marvel spin-off will be released at a time when people are starting to feel superhero fatigue, but she’s confident about it. Wonders It will stick.
