In episode 60 of the quiz-based reality show Family Special Week, Big B welcomed the ‘Waggle family’ of the sitcom ‘Waggle Ki Duniya – Nai Peedi Nai Kissay’ to the hot seat.
Sumeet, Pariva Pranati and Bharati Achrekar appeared on the hot seat.
Sumeet plays the protagonist Rajesh Wagle, played by Pariva. Bandana Wagglewhile Bharati is seen as; Radhika Wagle.
During the conversation, Amitabh said, “Rajesh (referring to Sumeet), you know that Mr. Computer says you are a great singer. Singing in front of a studio audience and an audience back home. I want it,” he said.
“The instruments are here. We are looking forward to your performance. Big hands to you,” the ‘Shorai’ actor said.
Rajesh, also known as Sumeet, said, “Sir, I have made a medley of your songs. There are three songs. The songs are of different scales, but I managed to fit them in.”
Sumeet began singing the song ‘Chokar Mere Man Ko’ from the 1981 musical drama film ‘Yarana’ starring Amitabh, Amjad Khan, Neetu Singh, Tanuja and Kader Khan. This song was originally sung by Kishore Kumar.
The actor then starred in the song ‘Salaam-e-Ishq Meri Jaan Zara Qubool’ from the 1978 crime drama ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’ starring Amitabh, Vinod Khanna, Rakhi, Rekha, Ranjit and Amjad Khan. He sang “Cal Lo”.
Before the last song, Sumeet said: “This is an iconic song.”
He then sang ‘Pyar Hamen Kis Mod Pe’ from the 1982 action comedy ‘Satte Pe Satta’ starring Amitabh and Hema Malini.
After the performance, Amitabh said, “That was great, Rajesh. Big hand to Rajesh. Wow! Well done, sir. Beautiful. Sir, I have a lot of respect for all musicians.” Ta.
