Sanjay then had to wait another four years for his next hit. In 1999, he produced a film called Surf Tum which became a huge hit at the box office. The film also featured Priya Gill as the female lead and people liked their fresh combination in the film. After the success of his two films, ‘Raja’ and ‘Saaf Tum’, Sanjay Kapoor’s career did not last long in the industry. All his other films failed to impress the audience and were declared failures.
One of the main reasons for his downfall in the industry was that he rejected many blockbuster movies. One such film was Tere Naam. Earlier, the film was said to be directed by Anurag Kashyap and Sanjay Kapoor was offered the lead role. Later, Anurag Kashyap was replaced by Satish Kaushik and Salman Khan was chosen to play the lead role. This film is one of the most successful films in Salman’s career.
