“Hollywood East” Film and Sound Stage Event Held This Week at Liberty Science Theater
“Hollywood East” in New Jersey?
Those interested in learning about New Jersey’s film and media industry should attend a special event hosted by the New Jersey Forum on International Business on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Liberty Science Theater to hear from critics. Learn about the area’s burgeoning film sound stage, which produces acclaimed films from TV series.
The event will feature a filming corner narrated by Danny DeVito, updates from the New Jersey Film and Television Commission, and interviews with filmmakers and technicians who will share insights about economic opportunities and benefits for New Jersey’s business community. A panel discussion will be held. .
The special presentation will focus on the major sound studios for film production currently located in Jersey City, Point Kearney and the Meadowlands.
Speakers will include Steve Gorelick, Executive Director of NJMP&TC, and a special panel will be moderated by Jon Pearce, Global Chief Creative Director of Hudson Rouge.
The talks will include a review of the impact on the film business following the strike and its international implications.
This event will be held during the popular Liberty Science Center AfterDark evening program and will be held separately in the Presentation Theater.
