‘Beckham’ clip debuts at number 1 on Netflix Top 10 after going viral

‘Beckham’ has topped Netflix’s English TV Top 10 list after a clip from the docuseries went viral over the weekend.

In the aforementioned clip, David Beckham is seen questioning his wife Victoria Beckham about her claims that she grew up in a working-class family. Not only did this clip leave a huge impression on social media, but the series also seems to be popular. The documentary series racked up 12.4 million views in its first week and topped Netflix’s English list.

The four-episode limited series was followed by Season 4 of “Sex Education” with 6.6 million views and Season 5 of “Love Is Blind” with 3.7 million views. “One Piece” also stayed on the list for 6 consecutive weeks, reaching 4th place with 2.5 million views.

It was followed by season 1 of the UFO documentary series Encounters (2 million views), season 5 of Virgin River (2 million views), and season 1 of the animated series Castlevania (1.8 million views). It continued. Season 2 of the true crime documentary “The Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal” (viewed 1.8 million times). “The Great British Baking Show” and “Who Killed Jill Dando?” rounded out the list with 1.6 million views each.

On the list of English-language movies, Benicio del Toro, Justin Timberlake and Alicia Silverstone’s “Reptile” topped the list for the second week in a row with 19.9 million views. Phoebe Duivener and Alden Ehrenreich’s “Fair Play” followed with 12.6 million views. Australian romantic comedy “Love Is in the Air” has been viewed 7.2 million times. And Cuba Gooding Jr.’s 2013 film “Life of a King” came in at No. 4 with 6.3 million views.

Other notable titles on the English movie list include Mark Wahlberg’s 2021 action and sci-fi film Infinite with 4.9 million views, and Tina Fey’s 2004 hit Mean Girls” recorded 4.5 million views. Netflix’s original “Spy Kids: Armageddon” also ranked in for the third consecutive week (4.3 million views).
