Hansal Mehta’s poignant and heroic series scoop It won the Best Asian TV Series award at Netflix’s Busan Film Festival.

Hansal says: We created this series with a lot of love and belief. This is a win for the whole team and a big win for the underdog. It’s an honor. We are grateful to Netflix, co-creator Muranmayi Raghu and producer Matchbox Schott for their unwavering belief. ”

But above all, Hansal feels emotionally indebted to the subject matter of this intense and authentic series. “We are grateful to Gigna Vora for giving us her heart and fortitude. But Mehta doesn’t follow the book, and the series, without criticism, deeply examines the blemishes and failings of India’s media, police and criminal investigation agencies. The near-perfect flow of the drama is not diluted by unnecessary turns. Even at nearly eight hours, Scoop is amazing.
