Little Baby is a story of unconditional love between a father and daughter. Sasha is a 19-year-old girl who loves to experiment with her life because of which she forgets she has a loving father and a mother.

Little Baby is an upcoming Hindi movie scheduled to be released on 20 Sep, 2019. The movie is directed by Shekhar S. Jha and will feature Priyanshu Chatterjee, Gulnaz Siganporia, Shivani Mahajan and Ravi Khanna as lead characters. Other popular actor who was roped in for Little Baby is Vijay Raj.

A young woman, Sasha, falls in with a wild crowd and begins to alienate herself from her loving father and mother. The first teaser of Shekhar S Jha’s film shows the growing rift in the small family which is later mended by an understanding father.

The teaser, cut more like a trailer, shows how Sasha, played by newcomer Gulnaz Siganporia, goes astray and gets herself in some serious trouble. Her father (Priyanshu Chatterjee) is a police officer who makes the first attempt to better their relationship by opening up about his own problems to her.

Usually, family dramas show the gradual deterioration of a close, loving family. Here, the opposite happens as a broken relationship is mended. However, the portrayal of the family bonds is quite amateurish.

Siganporia is in full shouting-teenager mode while Chatterjee plays the typical beleaguered father. The fast-paced cuts of the teaser barely allow the audience to get involved with the duo.

Little Baby, written by Jha, Rashid Iqbal, and Siddharth Saigal, is due to be released on 20 September.

Priyanshu Chatterjee makes comeback with Little Baby

Chatterjee will now be seen as the main lead in the upcoming Hindi film titled Little Baby (2019). Directed by Shekhar S Jha, the film has Chatterjee play the role of a cop. However, the film is the story of a father and daughter. Newcomer Gulnaz Siganporia will be playing his daughter in the film. 

Actor Priyanshu Chatterjee, last seen in Badshaaho and Billu Ustaad, is making his comeback with Little Baby. The coming-of-age drama follows a police officer (Priyanshu) and his troubled relationship with his teenage daughter (debutante Gulnaz Siganporia). The film is directed by Shekhar S Jha, who has previously helmed Wedding Anniversary (2017) and Prem Mayee (2012).

” Little Baby is about the communication gap that exists between generations,” Shekhar said. “Indian parents rarely speak openly with their children. Their priorities often do not match. It results in persistent problems. Our film is about a father who realizes that his daughter is headed in the wrong direction. Instead of letting the relationship disintegrate, he reaches out with love and tries to understand his daughter. I’ve worked with Priyanshu before and he was my first choice for the film.”
