Alaya F looks back on her four years in Bollywood: “It’s a tough industry, but I’m happy to be recognized.” Exclusive

Alaya F stepped into Bollywood with the 2020 comedy-drama film Jawaani Jaaneman, directed by Nitin Kakkar and starring Saif Ali Khan. Four years after the film’s release, Alaya speaks to News18 Showsha about her debut film, whether coming from a film family helped her rise in Bollywood, and what roles she would like to take on next. spoke exclusively.

Reflecting on his debut film just before the coronavirus pandemic, Araya said, “After the pandemic, the whole industry was a whole new world, no one understood what was working and what wasn’t, and people weren’t coming to theaters for a long time.” I’m still grateful that I managed to release it just before the lockdown. I’ve been living with the weight of love for this movie for three years. Otherwise, those three years would have been a huge burden to me. That being said, I’ve been in this industry for four years, and there was a three-year gap between the first and second movies, so two of those years didn’t mean much. It’s not ideal, but everyone has gone their own way. I got a lot of love for this movie and it helped me get through the years of the pandemic.”

Speaking about her debut in an unconventional role, she said that the film seemed tailor-made for her because she resonated with the character so much. “The character was so similar to me in real life, there was no way anyone else could play it!” she said.

When asked if being an insider helped her make the film or if it was a struggle, she said she was just happy that people liked her work. “There’s always going to be a little bit of fighting, but I think that’s a good thing, because this industry is tough. And everyone’s fighting their way. The only thing that’s a little bit different for me is that all my movies… Through it all, my acting and work has been received very positively. So I think I’m doing what I’m supposed to do and people like it. What else does that prove? Do I need to?” she reasoned.

When asked if she was competitive with her peers, Araya answered: I want everyone to do their best, but I also want them to do their best. I use my competitive spirit to motivate and energize myself. My competitive nature has always pushed me to be better. I strongly believe that I can do a good job. I believe that good things happen when you are kind to others. And that’s what I live for. ”

Speaking about co-starring Rajkummar Rao in Shrikant Bora’s biopic ‘Shri’, she said: That’s unbelievable. I mean, it’s a master class to see what he’s doing. He’s also a really kind, gentle, and wonderful person. So it was really great to work with him! ”

Alaya F will be seen in Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
