This timeless and captivating adventure is filled with violent action.
“Loki” is a time-travel science fiction series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” (beware of spoilers). The film centers on the fan-favorite MCU character played by Tom Hiddleston, a trickster god who appears in many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Expect plenty of comic book-style violent action, including stab wounds, disintegrations, loss of limbs (with some light blood), and hand-to-hand combat. And the fate of the universe is always at risk. Many of Loki’s kills in past films are recreated, as well as Thanos’ brutal destruction. Words like “fuck” and “hell” are used, and nudity is rarely implied, but all sensitive areas of the body are covered. The characters have sexual tension and eventually kiss. Adults drink cocktails and champagne in social settings. Characters such as Loki and Sylvie (Sofia Di Martino) demonstrate humility, teamwork, and self-control during their journey. (6 hour episode)
It can be viewed on Disney Plus.
The animated comedy, set in ancient Greece, includes body humor and gore.
“Crapopolis” is an animated comedy for adults created by Dan Harmon (“Community,” “Rick and Morty”). Centered around the emerging civilization of ancient Greece, the series includes satirical violence and gore (including blood-dripping severed heads and fighting between armies), as well as sexual and body part humor. The characters drink “nectar” instead of alcohol (but for the same reason). The language also includes words like “a–“, “damn”, and “hell”. The characters demonstrate empathy, creativity, and loyalty, with messages about communication, family, and community. (22 minute episode)
The teen horror comedy includes language, violence, sex, and drinking.
“Totally Killer” is a horror comedy about a teenage girl (Kiernan Shipka) who travels back in time to 1987 to stop a serial killer. It’s entertaining, but you can expect some graphic violence. This serial killer is known for stabbing his victims 16 times. There are pools and splatters of blood, and the stabbing sound effects are also enhanced, as a news reporter gets stabbed in the head during a live broadcast. There is also bullying. A popular child makes fun of many students from the same high school. Teenagers get a girl drunk at a slumber party, then drive home drunk to escape her bullying and end up in a fatal accident. Teens drink lots of wine coolers and vodka, smoke weed, eat pot brownies, and smoke cigarettes. Contains strong language such as “f—” and “motherf—er” throughout. The characters talk about sex, especially oral sex, and in one scene two teens are about to have sex on a waterbed at a party. (106 minutes)
Available to watch on Prime Video.
