On Wednesday night, “The Masked Singer” fans were rewarded when the diver was revealed to be none other than “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval.

“It was a lot of fun,” Sandoval said of participating in the show. “I was really happy to be able to come out here and perform under the mask and not be judged and just be judged on my performance.”

When asked by celebrity panelist Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg if it was difficult to be vulnerable on the show, the Bravo star replied, “Yeah, it was. But it was good.” I felt like I was being treated. This costume is unbelievable.”

He added: “There’s a lot of talent here, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”

Weeks before the show’s Season 10 premiere on Sept. 27, “Vanderpump Rules” fans began speculating that it was none other than Sandoval appearing in the diver costume. .

Both the September 10 preseason special and the premiere gave numerous clues as to the identity of the diver who performed Journey’s “Anyway You Want It” in the first round. In the second round, the Masked Singer sang along to OneRepublic’s “I Ain’t Worried.”

Here are the tips fans received:

• Diver said they are “someone that people tend to hate” and that he understands why.
• Cardinal photo.
• A statue of a knight.
• A compass pointing to the Midwest.
• Diver said that despite some failures, “I did it for love.”
• They were in the headlines.
• It is suggested that the diver is a successful businessman. Their faces are published in fake magazines advertising their wealth.
• Diver has modeled, acted and even sung.
• “I was always waiting to be famous. I never thought it would be to all the people who hate me,” says Diver.
• Red high heels are shown.
• “I’m good for the club,” was the diver’s last clue.

Why fans are convinced the diver must be Sandoval

Celebrity Jury judge Ken Jeong speculated on the night of the premiere that the diver’s true identity was Sandoval.

“This only has Tom Sandoval, the biggest star of 2023,” Chung said to boos from the live audience, referencing the reality star’s public breakup with Vanderpump Rules co-star Ariana Madix. and called him “Scandobal.”

In what The New York Times described as “a cheating scandal that shook the Internet,” Sandoval admitted earlier this year that he had an affair with his Vanderpump Rules co-star Rachel “Raquel” Levis. Maddix and Sandoval were together for nine years.

Additionally, some point out that the Bravo star is from St. Louis, Missouri, explaining the Cardinal and Midwest clues. (The Midwestern city’s baseball team is the St. Louis Cardinals.)

These are the main reasons why fans are drawn to Sandoval.

Sandoval also has singing experience. “Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras” perform covers of popular songs and are currently touring.

The knight statue clue could be a reference to the media comparing him to trying to give off a “white knight” vibe. Chong thought this might refer to Sandoval’s night-time operations.

On the business venture front, Sandoval and “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Tom Schwartz own a Los Angeles bar called Tom Tom and invested $1 million in another called Schwartz & Sandy’s. Sandoval also co-authored Fancy Af Cocktails: Drink Recipes from a couple of professional drinkers with Maddix in 2019.

The red heels at Wednesday’s show were a direct homage to “Vanderpump Rules.”

I think there were other people besides Sandoval.

Two other celebrity panel guesses included Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and Scott Disick.

I suspect this is Levine. There has been a lot of talk about Levine’s infidelity, which she has since denied, but it seems like her voice is incorrect. Celebrities can hide their voices when performing, but Diver’s vocals were the weakest of the five contestants who performed on premiere night.

Disick appears to be a strong candidate to replace Sandoval. He is definitely a television villain due to his ties to the ‘Kardashians’ and has started multiple businesses including a clothing brand and a vitamin company.

But neither figure has clear ties to the Midwest.
