Kangana Ranaut Criticizes Bollywood for Silence on Her Film ‘Emergency’
New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut has once again criticized Bollywood for remaining silent about her upcoming film, Emergency. The actress-turned-politician, who is preparing for the release of her film based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, expressed her frustration during a promotional interview.
In an interview with Mashable India, Kangana labeled Bollywood as “zerila” (mean) for not discussing her film. She shared her belief that many in the industry are jealous of her success and intentionally staying quiet about Emergency. However, she praised actors Anupam Kher and Shreyas Talpade for supporting and motivating her.
Kangana also took a jab at Bollywood celebrities for their focus on fitness, stating that hitting the gym isn’t a significant achievement. She emphasized that true hard work involves developing one’s character, integrity, strength, and emotions, rather than just physical appearance.
Kangana has frequently criticized Bollywood for not acknowledging or appreciating her work. In previous interviews, she has described the industry as a place where gatekeepers hinder the careers of talented artists.
