Fast and Furious 10 release date: When can we expect Fast & Furious 10?
The tenth film in the series was originally scheduled to release on 2nd April 2021 – obviously, that didn’t happen.
Pandemic-related delays meant Fast 9 was pushed from its planned April 2019 release to June 2021, with the following film also delayed as a result.
A new release date for Fast 10 is yet to be confirmed, though Diesel told Regal that the next two films will start shooting in January – backing an earlier statement from Tyrese Gibson, who told Collider that the next two Fast movies will be shot back-to-back, which would mean a longer shoot.
2017’s The Fate of the Furious – the last Fast film to be released without any delays – started filming in March 2016 and was released in April 2017. If Fast 10 and Fast 11 begin filming in early 2022, we’ll likely see the first of those two films hit cinemas in mid-to-late 2023.

Jordana Brewster also returned to the franchise in Fast 9 having skipped the previous movie, so it’s probable she’ll return again as Mia Toretto. With Mia’s return, Fast 9 had to explain why Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) wasn’t at her side – he was looking after his and Mia’s children, as well as Dom’s son, his namesake little Brian (Isaac & Immanuel Holdane) – but Justin Lin has hinted that Brian might actually appear in some form in Fast 10.
Paul Walker was halfway through shooting 2015’s Furious 7 when he died, with a combination of CGI and body doubles being used to complete his scenes. It’s possible that something similar could be attempted for Fast 10 in order for the Brian character to play a small role.
