Reports had suggested that a sequel to the Karan Johar-produced film in 2018 might be in the works. Dadak is in the works and may feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles. Currently, the two actors have been confirmed to star in the film. Dadak 2The film will be helmed by debutant director Shazia Iqbal and is scheduled to hit the theatres on November 22, 2024.

Production companies Zee Studios, Dharma Productions and Cloud 9 Pictures have joined forces to produce this much-awaited film.
