Cha Eun Woo’s Wonderful World Retakes All-Time Ratings Record As Viewers Prepare For Enthralling Series Finale | web series

Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo’s South Korean thriller Wonderful World heads to its epic finale today. Episode 14 is slated to throw off the cheesy conclusion to the standard pre-set run of K-drama episodes. Last week, MBC revealed the final episode of the season 10 minutes earlier than usual, at 9:40 PM KST.

The final episode revealed a major secret storyline that had been kept under wraps until now. On the airing of the series finale, South Korean network MBC announced, “Accordingly, after much deliberation, we have decided to extend the running time in order to properly convey the characters’ stories.”

The critically-acclaimed series has particularly solidified Yoonwoo’s acting career, who until now has been relegated to stoic high school dramas despite her other roles in shows like The Island and budding historian Gu Ha Ryung. Coming out of pigeonholed character designs, the K-pop idol/actress has definitely climbed the monthly rankings of Actor Brand Reputation, standing proudly in second place (for April), trailing only Kim Soo Hyun.

Cha Eun Woo’s Wonderful World viewer rating

As Dark Mystery approaches its epic conclusion, Wonderful World regained its all-time high ratings for its final episode on April 12. Matching a previously held personal best, the latest episode of the MBC Drama dropped to an 11.4% rating. A jump of almost 5% from last week’s Sunday show.

That 11.4% rating not only broke the show’s personal best, but it also took the top spot as the most-watched Friday show.

About the Wonderful World finale

Scheduled to air tonight (April 13) at 9:40 PM, Wonderful World episode 14 will bring Yoon So Hyun’s (Kim Nam Joo) revenge drive after losing her son to its grand close. The epic 90-minute finale will be broadcast on Disney Plus for international viewers.

The official logline of the emotional drama on Disney Plus Hotstar reads, “A mystery unravels as two people explore the truth and offer comfort to each other along the way.”
