Justin Lin to direct crime thriller ‘Stakehorse’

Justin Lin has come on board to direct horsea crime thriller set at Amazon MGM Studios.

Lin and his Perfect Storm Entertainment banner will also produce the feature, joining Hidden Pictures’ Todd Lieberman and Alex Young on the project.

Justin Piasecki wrote the script, and most of it is kept in the stable. It is known to revolve around a horse vet who has a side business doing medical work for criminals who may need off-the-books work.

Sources say the project is tonally similar to City, a crime thriller film directed by Ben Affleck. The text reached near the top of the 2023 blacklist.

Perfect Storm’s Andrew Schneider and Sal Gatdola will executive produce.

Lane is known for his action poles, including several of his own fast and angry Movies, the latest of which is led by Chris Pine Star Trek The film, although it began as a semi-autobiographical drama, Better luck tomorrow.
