Do you want to miss a Salman Khan movie this Eid-ul-Fitr 2024? Don’t worry, Bollywood has a list of releases ready for you

Eid has arrived and Muslims around the world are in a festive mood. For movie buffs, Eid also marks the release of Salman Khan films. However, this year, there is no release of Bhaijaan in Bollywood and there will be no major release in the coming months.

The reason for this absence is yet to be revealed, but earlier reports had suggested that Khan had mentioned that his last festival releases, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ and ‘Tiger 3’, had disappointing box office results. It seems that they have decided to take a hiatus from their activities.

The actor is reportedly currently hand-picking his projects and is carefully reading scripts before committing. Earlier this year, Salman surprised everyone by announcing collaborations with Karan Johar and AR Murugadoss.

1. Bajrangi Bhaijaan
   The film, which released on the eve of Eid 2015, is one of Salman Khan’s biggest successes. Surprisingly, the film broke box office records by grossing over Rs 922 million worldwide.
2. Ek Tha Tiger
   The first movie in the YRF spy universe. It was released during Eid 2012. The film starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. This action-packed film broke records and grossed him 320 million rupees worldwide.
3. Dabangg
   The film, which starred Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey and marked the Bollywood debut of Sonakshi Sinha, was a blockbuster hit, grossing over Rs 214 million.
4. sultan
   The romantic sports drama starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma has grossed over Rs 627 million at the box office. Salman and Anushka’s collaboration was a success and their chemistry was loved by the audience.
5. Currently recruiting
   Wanted, released in 2009, was highly acclaimed as Salman Khan’s comeback after a number of failed projects. The film collected $8.6 billion and was a remake of the Telugu film Pokiri starring Mahesh Babu.

1. Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan
   The film depicts the journey of two soldiers, played by Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who are sent on a global mission to thwart a scientist’s chaotic plans. The film was shot in many beautiful locations including Mumbai, Scotland, London, Luton, Abu Dhabi, and Jordan.
2. Maidan
   A moving sports drama that explores the life of soccer coach Syed Abdul Rahim and his influence on Indian football. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film stars Ajay Devgn and co-stars Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh and Gajraj Rao.
