Transgender woman to star in Bollywood thriller ‘Love Sex Aur Dhoka 2’

Production company Balaji Motion Pictures released an emotional video on Instagram in which Bonita opens up about her struggles to break into Bollywood. “I was working in a production company and my income there was only Rs 10,000,” she confessed in the video. “It was hard to survive,” she said.
Bonita talked about how she realized early on that she identified with transgender characters portrayed on screen. “I learned that I matter through movies,” she admitted. Speaking on behalf of the transgender community, Bonita added, “My biggest motivation is to see women like me on screen (and to see transgender representation on screen).”
According to Bonita, playing the lead role in such a groundbreaking film was life-changing. “She never thought she would get an acting role and that she would play her lead role in a Bollywood movie,” she said. “So some dreams become reality.”
