Jawan: Top grossing Indian film of 2023
The end of 2023 is nearing. This year has been a great year for Bollywood, with a number of blockbuster films coming out. After a gap of three years, the Hindi film industry has regained its top spot. Shah Rukh Khan’s action drama ‘Jawan’ has emerged as the top grossing Indian film of 2023. This masala entertainer received positive reviews all over the world and was a huge hit at the box office. Mainly, mass audiences made a big fuss over this film.
The film, directed by Attlee, grossed 1.154 billion worldwide, of which nearly 400 million came from overseas. The Hindi version grossed approximately $590 million domestically, making it the highest-grossing Bollywood film. The Telugu and Tamil versions of Jawan have also amassed a rich collection depicting his SRK craze in South India.
The jawan is also the biggest opener in the history of Bollywood. The film will be King Khan Shah Rukh’s second film to enter the prestigious 1 billion box office club after Pattern. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Rehar Khan, Sunil Grover and Girija Oak in important roles. Produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment, the film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
