A look back: When Kriti Sanon reveals instances of being replaced by star kids in films | Hindi Film News

Kriti Sanon, who made her Bollywood debut with the 2014 film Heropanti, has opened up about the challenges of being an outsider in the industry in a recent interview.

A few years ago, she opened up to Pinkvilla about the deep-seated issue of nepotism and revealed instances where she was replaced by star kids for roles in films. Despite her hurdles, since her debut, Sanon has showcased her talent in various films including ‘Dilwale’, ‘Raabta’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Luka Chuppi’ and ‘Housefull 4’ . She most recently starred in Adipurush alongside Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, which sparked controversy after its release in June, drawing criticism for her dialogues, costumes and other aspects.

Reflecting on her career trajectory, Kriti said, “I’m very ambitious and I know I can do a lot more. I want to work with A-list directors. So, it’s great. “I’ve been given opportunities, but when I compare them…” he said. “There are some other things that I really want and would like to have. There are still differences. I don’t mind contacting the director. If I came from a film family, I wouldn’t have to contact them. It wouldn’t have happened.”

She also didn’t name anyone specifically, but added, “I don’t know if they called, but someone who was from a movie family or someone who had been talked about a little bit more… I was replaced. So yes.” , that’s what happened but I don’t know the reason behind it. Maybe the director really wanted that person. It happened several times. It’s a little irritating and makes me feel sick. What else can you do? “Is there a point? But everyone’s successes and failures are different. Things happen and don’t happen for a reason. Sometimes you just don’t get the movie you really want. Sometimes things don’t work out.” So maybe some of that was a good thing. ”
